“Kryptos” - second woman to send V15
For BD Ambassador Kaddi Lehmann, climbing a V15 boulder problem all started with fixing the gears on her old mountain bike. But those accumulated miles she pedaled uphill to Kryptos—an aesthetic limestone seam in the Swiss Jura—pale in comparison to the internal journey she endured to reach the top of that boulder. On that intrepid internal voyage, Lehmann discovered that success didn’t hinge on physical power, but on motivation, belief, and happiness.

La Danse Des Balrogs, world’s first 8B by Fred Nicole
"La Danse des Balrogs", put up in 1992 by Fred Nicole as world's first 8B boulder problem. My biggest obsession of the past years. I've never put so much effort and heart into a problem. So many days alone under this boulder, so many doubts. So many beautiful sunsets and quiet hours listening to the birds there.

Hide and Sick 8B+/V14 - Paul Robinson (4K)
On my final day in Maltatal, I was able to make the 2nd ascent of "Hide and Sick," a new 8B+/V14 from Jernej Kruder. The line proved to be quite powerful and crimpy. It was amazing to work this line and eventually climb it. I hope you enjoy the short!

Fantastisches Bouldergebiet für heiße Sommertage.
Die Blöcke liegen ca. auf 2000m Meereshöhe. Auch wenn die Sonne ungehindert in das Gebiet scheint, ist es dennoch sehr angenehm, da immer ein kalter Wind von den Bergen herunter weht. Momentan gibt es sehr viele kleine Bachläufe die sich um die Blöcke ausbreiten, problematisch ist das aber nicht. An der großen Parkbucht am SUSTENBRÜGGLI gibt es einen Trinkwasserbrunnen und wer sein "Geschäft" nicht im Wald verrichten möchte, der kann für 1Franken die Toiletten des "SUSTENBRÜGGLI" benutzen!
